The company was founded in Fribourg following the acquisition of RHONE-POULENC RORER products by Jean-Pierre Grave. From its inception, the company was oriented toward emerging markets, with a particular focus on the Maghreb and West Africa.
1985
Acquisition of FRILAB
Purchased by Philippe Bellegarde. To this day, it remains a “family-run” business oriented toward exports outside the European Economic Community.
2011
Expansion in Africa
Under the leadership of its Management, the FRILAB Group expanded its activities through the acquisition of new products and the establishment of licensing agreements with prestigious partner laboratories. Starting from West African territories, the geographical scope extended to Portuguese-speaking and Englishspeaking countries.
2015
Acquisition of NEITUM Laboratories
Acquisition of NEITUM Laboratories in Lyon, which became Frilab France Laboratories in Paris in 2018. FRILAB France Laboratories currently hold our Marketing Authorizations (MA) for the countries of origin and market them within the EEC.
2016
Establishment in Portugal
Opening of our representative office in Lisbon to manage activities in Portuguesespeaking Africa.
2018
Creation of SWISSPROM
This promotional subsidiary hosts 65% of Africa’s medical representatives, including its unique network of hospital representatives in West Africa.
2019
Creation of the HUB in Abidjan
To support its strong growth, the FRILAB Group strengthened its local structure by creating a HUB bringing together regulatory activities and commercial coordination.
2022
Strengthening of General Resources
At the headquarters in Geneva, general resources have been continuously reinforced over the years to match the company’s uninterrupted growth, particularly in relation to new activities in the CIS region and the Middle East.
